Dear Members,
Welcome to another year for the Riding Club, as you may realize the Club Year starts and ends on the 1st October when your subscriptions are renewable for the 04/05 season, to enable us to close the books for last year will all members who have not paid their entry fees for Birchinley Championships and Presentation tickets please do so as soon as possible, -- also we are three Trophies still outstanding - (not returned) if we do not get them back or replaced your name will be put on the website in the SIN BIN. Thanks to everyone who supported the Presentation night as usual it was a sell out and was thoroughly enjoyed by all, Mr and Mrs Pennington kindly presented the Trophies and there was so much food no-one could have gone away feeling peckish. For those of you who share a Trophy remember it is up to you to pass it on to the next person by 1st May - those of you in waiting remember to get it and return it to me by 1st October 05.
We will be holding our Winter indoor Rallies again this year so please try to attend - we hope to put on anything you want - so any suggestions let me or any Committee member know. Remember the Christmas get-together - I must know who Father Christmas will be coming to so let me know by the 13th without fail by email to me personally glorianewbarn@btinternet.com or by Fax or Phone 0161 427 6564.
The Farm Christmas all jumping show is again at Dairyground Farm (Penningtons) on Sunday 19th December, some classes will have Fancy Dress prizes and we hope to have a lot of fun, once again all the proceeds from the PAIRS jumping go into the Air Ambulance fund, the Winter league shows start on January 30th and continue the last Sunday each month to May (remember these are also points shows, membership not necessary), Schedules on the website shortly and at the usual Tack and Feed shops. The photo Gallery will be updated soon with Presentation pics, Rally and Show photos - so please remember to COME TO ME TO GET YOUR PHOTO TAKEN, also if you have achieved anything at a Show etc please let me know on my email site with as much detail as you can give me.
Congratulations to everyone who represented us at Birchinley Manor (or Hollingworth Leisure as it is now known) I was very proud of you all, also to our Jumping Team who won at Mottram and also represented us at Birchinley - if you want to jump for the Club or Farm at Mottram Spring Show let me know please. On a sadder note I am sure we would all like to pass our sympathies on to Aimee Divilly - a member of our Jumping Team - who lost her horse Hillgarth Aero Suzanne after an accident in the field.
